Latest routing events

  1. Waiting for RIS Live updates.

The visualization presents routes observed by RIPE RIS collectors and does not replace an operator's local routing view.

How to read the BGP map

AS path

Successive nodes show autonomous-system numbers present on an observed path to the prefix.

RIS observers

The observer count shows how many RIPE RIS sources see the analyzed resource in the selected time window.

Live events

An announcement adds or updates a route, while a withdrawal means an observer no longer sees it.

What does BGPPlay show?

It shows autonomous-system paths to a public prefix and follows announcements and withdrawals observed by RIPE RIS collectors.

Is this the local DataHouse route?

No. The standalone BGPPlay page shows the RIPE RIS collector view. Use Looking Glass for the local route selected by the DataHouse router.

Which resources can I check?

You can submit a public IPv4 address, IPv6 address or CIDR prefix. Private, documentation and multicast ranges are rejected.
