Technical issues.

Q:
If i want to collocate a whole rack case do I need to have my own?
A:
This is not necessary.You may use our rack case, lease a whole case or half of it.
2.
Q:
Can you tell me more about your power supply ?
A:
Usually our customers are connected to a whole set of big online UPS systems, where the power is „generated again” in them. We also have diesel engine powered generators.
3.
Q:
What does"redundant power supply” mean ?
A:
If you device has two power supplies it is possible to connect them to two different UPS circuits. This guarantees that if one UPS circuits fails there will be no break in service.
4.
Q:
I have a few servers at DataHouse.Pl and I would like to connect them somehow - what should I do?
A:
You may use a colocated switch to do so or lease ports in our switch.
5.
Q:
Will my servers be protected by a firewall ?
A:
We do not use any filtering by default. If there is a need we may filter requested ports or we can place the customer's equipment behind a Barracuda Networks firewall which updates itself every hour and always has the newest attack signatures.
6.
Q:
How does Simple Backup work? How can I use it ?
A:
The Simple backup service means dedicated disk space where you can store your backup data using RSYNC or FTP protocols. Our Technical Administration Department will gladly help you set up the right scripts on your machines that will enable automatic data backup storage.

Q:
What will happen if I run ouf of storage space?
A:
You will see a "DISK FULL" message, but before it happens you will receive a warning email.

Q:
My equipment is powered by 48V DC Voltage – can i still colocate them at DataHouse.Pl ?
A:
Of course – 48 V powered devices may use our 48 V power supply units.
9.
Q:
I would like to have two Internet connections – one from DataHouse.Pl and another one from some other carrier – is it possible?
A:
Of course – At DataHouse.Pl you can be connected to other carriers – most of them have their access points at DataHouse.pl
10.
Q:
I would like to have a direct connection to TPSA or foreign carriers – can I order it at DataHouse.Pl ?
A:
Of course – the customer's service may be terminated directly at a Tier1 carrier or a TP router.
11.
Q:
My server colocated at DataHouse.Pl stopped working – what am I supposed to do?
A:
Report this as soon as possible by calling (22) 5780330 – depending on the type of malfunction you may use our service or arrange a visit in our colocation center.
12.
Q:
My leased server colocated at DataHouse.Pl stopped working – how long will it take you to fix it?
A:
In case of a leased server malfunction – depending on the purchased SLA level, all malfunctions are fixed as soon as possible after receiving a report at +48 22 5780330 (czynnym całą dobę)

Q:
Can I be given aggravation charts of my links?
A:
Of course – please contact our sales department for your logging details.
14.
Q:
Can I have phone lines connected to my hardware?
A:
Of course – analog, ISDN BRA or PRA.
15.
Q:
Can I use secondary DNS from Datahouse.pl if my servers are colocated there?
A:
Of course. Secondary DNS is free of charge.
16.
Q:
I have the cPanel software on my server – can I use the cluster option?Mam na moim serwerze ?
A:
Yes, cPanel servers can be „clustered” with our backup server.
17.
Q:
I have a PI address range. May I use the BGP protocol ?
A:
Of course – the use of BGP at DataHouse.Pl is available and free of charge.
18.
Q:
Can I have a remote restart option or an IP KVM?
A:
Of course – Remote restart through a WWW interface is available in the offer. IP KVM can be available during system installation or as a constant part of the service.
Sales issues.
1.
Q:
How fast can be the service set up ?
A:
As soon as we receive the contract along with all necessary documents.
2.
Q:
If I decide to use the „in advance” payment option for a longer period of time can I expect a discount?
A:
Yes, of course - this is negotiable and we can be very flexible.
3.
Q:
How are power charges calculated?
A:
In case of a leased server these fees are included in the service price. In case of the customer's equipment they are calculated on the flat commision basis according to the real (not nominal) watage of the power supply unit in the customer's equipment, or based on indications of power meters multiplied by RWE Stoen rates.
